Executive Board 2025/2026

The Executive Board oversees all MPLSS operations, inclusive of subsidiary organizations (Mock Trial, Moot Court, and the Undergraduate Law Review). Executive duties include equity and accountability; events; marketing; external partnerships; financial management and; other networking and informational programmes.

Our organization’s core mandate is to equip McGill’s undergraduate student body with community resources and experiential opportunities to have a stronger grasp on what lies ahead in their legal education journey. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse collective of members from all walks of life.

Mia Palmer

President

Hi! My name is Mia Palmer and I’m in U2 studying Sociology with minors in GSFS and African Studies. I originally joined MPLSS as a Mock Trial delegate, then served as VP Equity and Alumni Relations last year. As President, I get to work across all parts of the club to keep things running smoothly. I’m so grateful to be part of a team of such talented and driven people, and to contribute to a society that continually fosters community, growth, and opportunity for McGill’s pre-law students.

Yerin Kim

Hi, I’m Yerin and I’m in U3 studying Political Science with a minor in Communications. This is my third year on the Executive Team. As VP Internal, I work with the VP Communications to run the MPLSS social media and create content for our channels, as well as handle communications with members. I also oversee the society’s internal operations and help ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. It’s my final year at McGill and I am so excited to wrap it up with another amazing year on the team!

Hi! My name is Vanessa Jaber and I’m in U2 studying Psychology with a minor in Political Science. This is my first year on the Executive Team, and I’m excited to contribute to MPLSS as a Moot Court member as well! As VP External, I work with external organizations to connect you all with opportunities and resources to feel confident in your journey to Law. I’m looking forward to an incredible year ahead, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with such a passionate team and amazing members.

Hi! My name is Alice Cheng, and I’m in U3 studying Music Education. This is my first year on the Executive Team, and I’m thrilled to serve as VP Events for the McGill Pre-Law Student Society. In this role, I organize socials and networking events designed to strengthen our community bond and create meaningful connections among members. My goal is to foster a warm, inclusive space where students can connect, collaborate, and feel supported in both their academic and professional journeys toward law. I’m so excited for another inspiring year ahead with such a talented and passionate team!
